Again, this week I am away all week visiting
family. I am preparing/cooking my own meals while I am here. During the week I
was presented with a few challenges which I expected and prepared myself for.
E.g. one night we had a “kids party” for dinner, there was hot chips, savaloys,
lollies, chocolate, cake, all the junk food I used to love..Instead I cooked my
own meat and vege and had a couple of squares of dark chocolate and a small wine.
I have learnt that food is not everything, it has the purpose of fuelling our
bodies, not comforting me or making me feel better after a bad day or anything
else that I used to use as an excuse. I have been for a lot of walks, and I am feeling
really good. I am also finding that I am generally getting a better quality
sleep!
